As an Apprentice Building Surveyor you will have an important role to play in our business. The role involves assisting experienced surveyors in inspecting buildings, identifying defects, gathering data, preparing reports, and providing advice on the condition and maintenance of properties. This role is designed to provide hands-on training alongside studying towards a formal qualification.
Key Responsibilities
Main duties will include but are not limited to, the following:
- Accompanying and supporting experienced surveyors to building sites to observe and learn how to conduct thorough inspections, noting potential defects and damage.
- Assisting in compiling survey reports by conducting appropriate research, documenting findings, analysing data, and creating clear summaries.
- Learning to identify and understand various types of construction, building defects, their causes, and potential repair solutions.
- Managing project files, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate records.
- Learning to communicate effectively with clients, explaining technical information in a clear and understandable manner.
About you
You will study towards a relevant qualification, such as a Chartered Surveyor Degree (RICS-accredited)
You will have a proactive approach to learning and taking on responsibilities
