Building surveying
Watts was appointed to deliver a comprehensive Vendor’s Building Survey Report for a large-scale, mixed-use site comprising two interlinked shopping centres housing over 100 retail units, alongside ancillary assets including a multi-storey car park, three office blocks, and two residential buildings.
Our multidisciplinary team carried out a full suite of technical assessments including a Building Fabric Survey and Report; a Building Services Survey and Report covering mechanical, electrical, and vertical transportation systems, including lifts; and a Drainage Survey and Condition Report; to evaluate existing infrastructure and identify critical issues. We also undertook a Review and Alignment of Client's Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Capital Expenditure (CapEx) Plans to ensure accuracy, prioritisation, and strategic alignment with the client’s long-term objectives.
Our dedicated team managed the project from initial scoping through to final delivery, including site inspections and stakeholder meetings, and a “red flag” session to identify urgent or high-risk issues. Our structured reporting process progressed from a first draft through to a detailed and actionable final report.
Our strategic, insights-driven approach enabled the client to make informed decisions regarding asset management and future investment, while mitigating risk and aligning maintenance strategies with operational and financial goals.
